    All the people who criticize crossfit are probably the same robots that go to the gym for hours at a time take 4-5 minute breaks inbetween sets, They do their “Routine”" for what ever isolated body part they are working on that day. Meanwhile crossfitters are lifting just as much using their entire body in a workout that changes everyday and I’m done showered and on my way home by the time they are done with there first excercise…then they still gotta do cardio!!!!

    So I’ve heard from many people who cf that most are on the paleo diet. My question is how hard would this be being a vegan? I already do kettlebells and used to do insanity but after 2-3 months I felt very tired (probably from not getting enough calories). Any vegan crossfitters out there? please no rude comments.

    Actually Dennis the competitors in the crossfit games ARE olympic qualified. It’s more than just a place to”show off” as you put it. The workouts done in crossfit aka Functional Fitness are much more practical then what an olympic lifter does. Maybe you should do some research before you talk ignorantly about a subject you don’t seem to know too much about.Some FYI for you it was developed to help imporve the careers of police, fire, and military personnel…so it’s all just for show, right?

    when an olympic lifter can beat an elite level crossfitter at a crossfit workout, then we’ll shut up. of course an olympic lifter will be better at a heavy snatch or clean because that’s what they work ALL THE TIME. How’s their cardio though? Pretty I would bet. Believer or not, we could care less. We’re not here to make you a believer. We’re here to make ourselves better. If you don’t like it, don’t do it. But don’t talk until you’ve done it.

    I think a lot of crossfitters tell themselves things like this in attempts to sell it to others (and maybe to themselves.) The idea that Usain Bolt is NOT an athlete but now Bob Harper, who does crossfit, is seems kinda silly.

    If performed properly the Kettlebell Swing can strengthen your back. I would recommend a lighter weight and a coach to get you started. There are countless kettlebell specific sites that will also give you tips, but nothing replaces the eyes of a good coach. If you have aback injury, you need to be more vigilent with your form, and work your way up in wieght as you improve. But just because your injured doesn’t mean you eliminate using/working that part of the body.

    Reminds me of that Vegan joke… “How do you know someone CrossFits?… They tell you.” But seriously, CrossFits amazing for your body and health so long as you do safely. The far majority of members are humble, down to earth, supportive, and in general nice people. I love my box!
